I'm an analog guy living in a digital world. Whether sharing space around a kitchen table or in a virtual meeting room, I believe that building relationships and trust are the roots from which everything we do will either grow or end. I believe that my roles in this life are to listen, to learn, to connect, and to help. As a Métis Registered Dietitian, food is everything - medicine, comfort, celebration, life. I've used food as a way to connect meaningfully with clients and patients around issues related to chronic disease management, cancer, mental/spiritual/emotional wellness, and health education and research. I see my work in project management as bridge-building. I feel a responsibility to the communities I serve to do everything I can to find connections where they previously didn't exist and bring forward expertise from communities into the cancer care system. Through open, honest, and transparent communication, my goal is to contribute to the transformation of the cancer care system into one in which more people see themselves reflected. We're all in this together. I have a deep interest in health research, policy, and communication. Through my experiences in both small qualitative and large quantitative studies, I have come to appreciate the importance of the narrative, more than just the numbers, in understanding a topic. Beyond work, you can most likely find me cooking, reading, gardening, doing something related to baseball, and listening to music on vinyl.
