Chris Cassar is the Founder and Director of Ta' Mananni Ltd. This company produces traditional hand made pastry products for both B2B and B2C. These products are unique as they are handcrafted, therefore the closest to homemade products. After several years of experience in this industry, it was time to aim higher. In 2020 Chris registered his company and looked for better premises suitable for this kind of work. He then had to come up with a company trade name and he decided to name it after his mother ‘Mary Anne’ which translates into ‘Mananni’ in Maltese, from whom he learned the recipes. This is the reason why the company is named ‘Ta’ Mananni’ - a simple woman in a small village in Gozo (Malta's sister island) taking care of her family and cooking incredibly delicious traditional dishes made up of local produce. These recipes have been passed on through generations of his family, and he decided to share them with people. Throughout his career, Chris accumulated different experiences and skills which are being used to run his business. He gained strong management and leadership skills from various jobs he worked in. Such jobs include project management of Government and EU projects. He served his village in the Local Council for 4 years. Lately, he also worked as a self-employed in the direct sales industry, and the main reason was to gain as much experience as possible to help him start his own business. All the experience gained during these years will be of vital help in building and managing this company and all its employees.
