This allowed us to move forward with modern development while strategically abandoning elements of the 25-year-old legacy system over time.• I developed a new application framework that simplified the development and maintenance of our many apps through code reuse, dependency delegation, and interfaces for easily communicating between apps and services, eliminating the problems that in previous applications had hindered our ability to adapt and change.• I single-handedly built a statewide identity management system, saving taxpayers over $200 million by obviating the need for the proposed vendor solution. This system updates itself by monitoring data that is already being maintained in multiple external systems in the course of day-to-day operations, making it almost completely autonomous and saving hundreds of thousands of dollars every year in administration costs compared with any other solution.
