“Try and leave this world a little better than you found it.”--Robert Baden-Powell (1941)I am an “Actionable Researcher,” meaning to the greatest extent possible I want my research and work to lead to changes and be a resource to others to promote action to benefit others. I often feel like I live in two worlds that at times are at odds and do not really talked to each other. My educational background is with traditional Academic Research such as inferential statistics, psychometrics, and factor analysis. My work over the last 12 years has introduced and expanded my knowledge of Data Science, learning techniques like Big Data analysis, machine learning, data visualization, and Business Analytics, and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, such as Salesforce. When approaching a new project, I do not go into it with a preconceived notion of how to analyze the data. Rather, I first find out what questions need to be answered, how the data was/will be collected, and how will the results be used. Then, I match the analysis with the project to ensure proper results.A life long learning, I'm continuing learning new methods to apply to projects and expanding my Data Science background. Currently, developing my skills in Pyhon.
