I am the Chief Executive Officer for MAGIC Evidence Ecosystem Foundation, a fantastic not for profit organisation based in Oslo that has huge impact across the globe by helping move evidence into practice to improve patient care. We do this through our four core areas of activity:1. Providing MAGICapp, an innovative guideline platform that facilitates the development, updating and dissemination of trustworthy and digitally structured guidance.2. Providing expert support to organizations in the evidence ecosystem to implement trustworthy guidance standards, GRADE methods and more efficient processes.3. Undertaking research and innovation projects focussed on improving how guidance is developed, adapted, disseminated and implemented.4. Advocating for a connected, collaborative and efficient evidence ecosystem to reduce waste and improve health outcomes.With my many years of leadership experience and knowledge of evidence synthesis and guidelines, I am responsible for building on the success of the MAGIC Founders to make MAGIC a sustainable organisation and supporting an ever increasing number of guideline developers to use MAGICapp.

We develop state of the art e-learning to allow people to develop the skills they need to contribute and to generate income for the charity. We support a global network of trainers to deliver face to face training in dozens of countries. We coordinate a global network of patients and carers that has over 1,600 members who actively take part in our research. All of this is underpinned by a support team that I set up to provide rapid responses to all enquiries to ensure that people are never stuck without the information or answers they need. For our staff, I have transformed our HR service, making it a people-centred service, that really improves the experience of working with Cochrane. As part of our senior leadership team in the organisation, I am in involved in developing organisational strategy, plans, budgets, risk management and part of all key strategic decision making for the organisation. I lead a team of 27 people and have experience of managing significant budgets. I am experienced in writing for and routinely participate in Governing Board meetings. I organise and participate in Governing Board subcommittees such as the Remuneration Committee.I have demonstrated a broad range of skills in this role including collaborative management, programme and change management expertise, my ability to translate strategic commitments into practice, my creativity in conceptualising ideas, presentation and negotiation skills; and influencing others. -
