Security Clearance Level: SECRET Senior Web Developer and Project Leader • Technical lead for the United States Naval Submarine School’s (NSS) Enterprise Distributed Learning Environment. Key responsibilities included design and implementation from the ground up of a worldwide SIPRNET application that revolutionized the way the Submarine Force managed their shore-based mission-critical training.• Complete development responsibilities for an enterprise scheduling and tracking web application utilizing Java, JSP, HTML, Microsoft SQL 2000 and IIS Web Server/Tomcat Serlvet Container.• Created initial software requirements specification from multiple interviews with a wide range of key stakeholders many with different job functions and conflicting needs.• Developed prototype application for testing at one of the Navy’s six Submarine Training Centers. Used rapid application development approach of build-test-build to quickly bring prototype to a useful state.• Deployed stable but immature application to all six training centers and all active submarines worldwide. Initiated and developed user feedback section, which was used to help define and prioritize additional requirements.• Application consisted of 8 major application sections, more than 20 user entry/query screens and maintenance of 35 database tables.
