Artificial intelligence is one of the world's most essential tools, and it's a wonderful feeling to be able to use it effectively! As a motivated Machine Learning Engineer, I am committed to expanding my knowledge of ML and Data Science across multiple domains. My aim is to continually try to learn new tools and perfect the existing ones in my inventory. In my professional role, I have gained broad experience in developing data pipelines and standalone components from both machine learning and software engineering perspectives. My responsibilities involve creating robust data pipelines, utilizing AWS services, and developing microservices with Docker and FastAPI for various applications, including the processing and visualization of remote sensing big data. Moreover, I work in deploying and evaluating large language models (LLMs) for semantic search, text summarization and user query answering with RAG.In addition to my professional work, my Ph.D. research has given me valuable experience in both hard and soft skills. On the one hand, I have acquired experience in collecting, processing, and using time-lapse image data for training deep learning advanced instance segmentation models for crop growth monitoring and yield prediction optimization. On the other hand, scientific article writing, conference presentations and supervising/guiding students and researchers have improved my soft skills.Finally, balancing a full-time job with full-time Ph.D. has led me to develop other useful skills such as time and stress management, adaptability, multitasking and good communication with colleagues/supervisors. These skills can safeguard my effectiveness in demanding work situations, enabling me to handle complex projects, collaborate efficiently, and maintain high performance under pressure.
