I am an independent chilren's Guardian and social worker, with considerable managerial and face-to-face child and family work experience: * I complete independent Reports for Courts, in Complaints and other formal settings, where I have experience presenting the Reports and undergoing cross-examination on them; * I conduct mediation in families, particularly where there are disputes between adults about their children; * I conduct Risk Assessments of services and settings where children are present with adults; * I have considerable experience of educational settings and am familiar with school Complaints systems and am able to prepare independent Reports in this setting also; * I am an experienced Chair within child protection, fostering panel and educational settings and have worked both independently and within local authorities.As a Registered Social Worker with the Care Council, I undergo regular training and updating of my skills and knowledge.I am a member of the British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) and of the British Association of Social Workers (BASW).
