Full service audio post for television shows and documentaries. Started out as a freelance engineer, now contracting project specific teams to suit individual series. From mixers to sound designers, composers to dialog editors, there are lots of freelancers available to work on any project.

Mixing, sound designing and voice recording for several amazing children's television programs. I've worked on Are We There Yet (season 3, Play Date and a new series for TVO called Giver. Soon I'll be working on Role Play Live and hopefully the next chapter in the "This Is..." series. There are a couple of other things waiting in the wings that are pretty exciting too.

Setting up mobile studio on location. Running communications lines and large multi-pin connectors. Interfacing with ground, stage and sound crews. Preparing audio for broadcast or release.

Condensing hours of raw footage into concise segments, then organizing these segments into coherent story lines for 13 different episodes. Assisting editors to understand and realize the producer's vision and complete the shows. Composing questions to help link the episodes together as well as writing summaries of each episode to deliver to HGTV for approval. Some field direction when necessary.

Recording, editing, mixing and mastering audio for broadcast. Using Pro Tools to create radio and television commercials, complete sound design projects, and mix television series, documentaries and short films. Recording and mixing a wide range of sources from voiceovers and string sections, to harps and rock groups for independent bands and broadcast purposes. Mixing and mastering music composed and recorded by the music department for commercials, films and television shows. Conferring with networks and scheduling with clients to meet both required technical standards and strict delivery deadlines.

Helping musicians realize their ideas by choosing specific sounds, selecting and placing microphones, operating outboard gear, then recording to 24-track 2" tape. Mixing to 1/4" tape using a vintage console, outboard gear and all available hands. Performing multiple drum edits on several projects when necessary.
