Served as the Industrial Hygiene Specialist to assess and minimize employee exposures to physical, ergonomic, chemical and biological, occupational hazards for more than 800 employees. The position provided an overall responsibility for implementing safety and health programs to minimize injuries and health concern and providing safety related support to the fourteen departments within the company and its subcontractors to ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health and environmental regulations and Navy policies. Evaluated and updated processes to assess and minimize personnel exposure by following guidelines and instructions on newly formed standards and recommend control measures and modifications to existing procedures to control hazards regarding hazards and corrective actions. Responsible for preparing a formal and informal report of findings that reference regulations and identifying potential exposures to hazards. Performs inspections at work sites, work operations and conditions, recording hazards and obtain evidence of regulatory violations.

Served as the Installation’s Clean Water Act (CWA) Stormwater subject matter expert (SME) and advisor for all matters related to management of CWA stormwater, providing technical assistance to Naval Facilities Marianas Naval Base Guam (NAVFACMAR NBG) for all matters related to stormwater management. Served as the Installation’s Underground Storage Tank (UST) SME and conducted routine inspections for UST facilities utilized by NBG to ensure compliance with underground storage regulations.
