Work closely with Sales Directors and Business Development Managers and responsible for proposing the right solution to prospective customers. As a Pre-Sales Engineer provide the technical lead in understanding a prospective customer’s business problems and mapping these to RFID enabled solutions. Working closely with customers to develop ROI models and help articulate the value of the solution within their environment and develop an implementation plan. Supporting both Merchandise Visibility and Asset Tracking Solutions based upon RFID technology and cloud based systems support.

Provide technical, application and sales assistance to develop major new business, working closely with our Regional Sales Managers. Develop and qualify new business leads and prospects. Take a leading role in product and application training for the distributor network, major customers and internal departments. Provide input into new product direction and development through communication with marketing and engineering. Visit major accounts and new business prospects with regional sales managers to gain knowledge of application and technical requirements, to support the sales effort to retain or develop the account, and help qualify new business opportunities. Provide design engineers complete technical data related to sample requests and new products. Determine pricing that best provides for the success of the company and provide verbal & written quotations to customers following company margin guidelines. Assist in tracking major existing customer activity and new business opportunities, coordinating efforts to retain and develop the accounts with Regional Sales Managers. Assist in maintaining ISO certification by following standard practice rules and keeping all proper documentation. Performed other duties as required.

Provide pre-sales support to customers throughout North and South America. Working as a key member of the application team, provide technical applications support by providing product demonstrations to potential customers, analyzing samples, running customer training schools and presenting Oxford solutions in workshops. Working closely with the sales team to insure our customers expectations are being met.

Define RFID applications to meet specific customer needs, conduct experiments that validate these applications. Design, install, and support RFID systems at customer locations. Manage service and repair of damaged equipment sent in from the field with support from overseas. Provide technical support to RFID system integrators, channel partners such as value added resellers, and end use customers.
