I’ve never been able to work for just a paycheck. Probably not the best thing to showcase. Sure, money motivates me to a point. But what really fills my battery is working in the public interest, fighting climate change, and working to rapidly advance an affordable, reliable, and equitable clean energy grid.My scientific education, policy credentials, and in-depth research abilities allow me to talk technical and get into the weeds. My experience in organizing and communications taught me not only how to skillfully lobby a member of Congress, but just as easily discuss legislation with an elderly woman at her doorstep, distilling complex information into easy-to-understand chunks. However, my biggest value-add – difficult to put in a resume or cover letter – is my passion, incessant hunger for knowledge, and self-starter mentality. These skills have allowed me to:- Spearhead the passage of three local resolutions that helped show support for a statewide clean electricity bill that soon after passed- Plan and coordinate six simultaneous demonstrations across three states that engaged hundreds of volunteers and garnered media attention- Manage a Seattle City Council campaign that knocked on over 17,000 doors in less than two months- Develop and manage a long-term communications plan that remade a clean energy non-profit’s website and drove unprecedented engagement on social media platforms- Created, trained, and managed a grassroots volunteer team that is still having an impact todayIf I believe in your mission and have some ownership over a project, I will drive it to success, on time and under budget, with minimal oversight. Help me help you help our transition to clean energy.
