- Design and project management of hydraulic and pneumatically operated access systems for mining vehicles.- Design and project management of numerous tools and jigs to aid with servicing work on large mining vehicles.- Emergency planning and management through the design of automated emergency ladders for a coal-loader on the port of Newcastle.- Preparation and submission of tenders.- Report writing and failure analysis on large generators and engines.- Design and project management of a portable LED lighting tower for mine sites. The efficient design facilitated the downsizing of a 4 cylinder diesel generator to a single cylinder version. This included the design of the complete machine, calculation of requirements for the entire hydraulic system and working closely with the electrical department to ensure all aspects of the project worked together.- Involvement in all parts of the product life cycle on a range of other projects such as hydraulic access systems, solar and wind-powered CCTV trailers, jigs for maneuvering heavy items during service work and major modifications to trucks and mining machinery.
