The Centre for Contaminant Geoscience works to design and commercialise environmentally sustainable and innovative solutions to problematic sites in the 'Brown" environment.The Centre is the research arm of Environmental Earth Sciences International. It provides an important avenue for conducting research for new technologies and looking at their practical application,as well as developing and enhancing existing processes/technologies employed in each of our Group divisions.The Centre is involved in the number of research areas including to following:Phytoremediation of groundwater and mine waterChemical immobilisation of heavy metal contaminantsBioremediation of PAH'sBreakdown of DDT in the soil environmentIntergatration of remediation techniques Black carbonCarbon sequestration
