In my role as the Infrastructure Lead, I was responsible for leading a skilled team of System Engineers spread across Australia and New Zealand. My responsibilities included technology support and maintenance across 2 primary physical datacentres and 5 remote sites, developing technology strategy and project management / delivery.I successfully streamlined operations and reduced costs through standardising & centralising IT infrastructure & systems, combined maintenance contracts and consolidated licensing agreements.I was responsible for;- Data Centre Relocation (project) - A complete datacentre migration to a shared facility for 5 full 42RU racks of compute, storage & network equipment. - Data Protection – Implemented modern data protection by migrating from a legacy Commvault installation to Veeam VBR, protecting in excess of 300TB of data daily. Needing to ensure that our recovery point and recovery time objectives were maintained throughout.- WAN consolidation – One of the largest IT projects ever undertaken by the organisation, both in the budget ($1Mill) and time (2 years), the entire wide area network was rebuilt. - Office 365 Migration - An Office 365 migration from separate on-prem Exchange servers and multiple O365 tenants into a single hybrid O365 tenant.- Domain Migration / Data Centre Restructure - Single domain consolidation from five separate entities, located over ten locations in Australia and New Zealand to a single Active Directory domain for 550 servers, and 1500 endpoints.- Team Culture – With the merger of multiple IT teams across multiple locations who were used to working in isolation at their own sites, brought some resistant moving to a multi-location team. Through the collaboration capabilities and of Microsoft teams and by implementing a “Daily Stand Up” brought the teams capabilities together and productivity was instantly increased.

Managed a team of Engineers and Client Service staff responsible in a shared service model for the infrastructure and service delivery for multiples sites across Australia. - The environments consisted for 4 datacentres supporting 250 VMs on multi host vSphere clusters backed by Dell & EMC storage and multiple networks & firewall vendors (Juniper, Cisco, Dell, HP)- Planned and implemented Office 365, this included migrating mailboxes from 4 x legacy’s Exchange 2003 servers across multiple active directory domains.- Lead the migration to a common MPLS- Implemented a new multi-firewall solution, including policy migration. - Merged ticket management system into a common platform.- Migrated to new data protection platform.

Responsible for managing infrastructure, network & systems across 2 data centres (Sydney & Melbourne) and service delivery for the entire organisation including Client Service staff directly reporting to me. - 100 VMs on multi-host vSphere clusters backed by Dell storage.- Managed the relocation of the entire Sydney Data centre to a new manufacturing facility. This included the building out of a new campus network, core & edge switching and physical cabling design (fibre & CAT6).- Implemented VMware, including several physical to virtual migration.- Migrated key applications RemoteApp application delivery model- Developed several applications (C# / ASP.net) to provide workflow improvements for the organisation.
