I was a founding partner of Campbell Courtney and Cooney Solicitors and from 2006 I was Senior Partner of the firm until obtaining SRA approval to convert to Sole Practitioner effective 1st May 2017.Following a background in general high street law I have specialised for more than 20 years in personal injury and medical negligence litigation. I am head of the firm's Litigation Department. I also specialise in Professional Negligence claims which is a difficult and niche area of the law and involves bringing claims against solicitors, barristers, surveyors, accountants and other professionals. I only act for claimants who are the victims of negligence, professional or otherwise. In particular I assist claimants whose personal injury claims failed due to negligence on the part of their solicitors or whose claims settled at an undervalue.I also act for claimants whose matrimonial property proceedings settled at under or over value as a result of their solictor's negligence.I have also worked as a radio journalist for independent radio providing Formula 1 Grand Prix reports and have been privileged to interview many Grand Prix drivers including World Champions.As a motoring enthusiast I was a committee member of and legal officer for The Ford RS Owners Club and was responsible for setting the Club up as a Company limited by guarantee. I am proud to be an honorary Life Member of the RSOC.I am a devout Leicester City Football Club fan which has until recent times been a demanding but now most rewarding pastime.
