It all started when I was 20 years old carrying hod for the labor union in Indianapolis local 120. My Foreman and asked me why I was doing this crazy work why didn't I join a trade. He convinced me to join the bricklayers union. I heard you had to have two letter of recommendations from two journeyman Mason's, that part was easy. went down to the union hall and asked what was all the criteria's to join the Bricklayers Union Local 4. They asked me *can you tie your shoes" I said, "yes sir" they said "you're in".So I got my journeyman card went through a 4-year apprenticeship that took me 5, (don't ask) . Until the first financial crisis of 2008. I couldn't buy a job.That's when my father stepped in and had me help build a pmk machines with Philip Willis down in Westmoreland Tennessee to make ends meet.I work with my father from 2009 up until his passing in February 26th 2020.
