My role consists of a wide range of duties, from supporting client domain infrastructure which included group policy changes, server management and WSUS configuring, managing routine maintenance jobs and database backups, through to end user IT issues, supporting each of the following; PCs, laptops, Apple OS X, PDAs, IP telephony, mobile handsets, meeting room video conferencing and office printing (numerous secure print solutions).I'm also responsible for transitioning in new and prestigious clients, gathering all infrastructure related details and handling the transition from the initial project scope through to BAU service. Duties:• Group Policy changes/deployment across numerous clients• Server 2008/2012 management and maintenance• Active Directory; the creation of new users, security groups, group policies, housekeeping and scripting.• Extensive Microsoft Office support – 2007, 2010 and 2013• Advanced desktop support for both Windows 7, 8 and 10• Advanced support for Apple operating systems, both OSX and iOS• LAN/WAN support• Secure print solution management for 3 different solutions; Papercut, Uniflow & Equitrac across different clients.• Print and machine hardware support• Microsoft Exchange management, maintenance and configuration.• Supporting Office365 migrations on numerous clients• Phone and tablet management and support, using deployment tools such as AirWatch, BES and Maas360 to manage the devices.• Support and administering Lotus Notes for multiple clients• Being an escalation point for clients and colleagues for technical fixes and problem management• Transitioning in new and prestigious clients from basic project scope through to site visits and then finally into BAU service throughout the entire service desk.• Overseeing the early life of new clients and being the knowledge expert for the service desk on these clients.• Training those around me to develop team knowledge to enable a more significant support package for clients.
