I'm very much a social person and enjoy working with people and processes more than equipment. I've had a career change from wind turbine technician and a technical background from my years in the U.S. Navy to being called to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned my Master's degree at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in May 2017 and received my LPC license from Kansas. Recently I signed on for a 90 day contract at Wyandotte County detention center as a MH professional. It was not a good fit although I honed my CBT & DBT skills while learning to modify much of my Christian ideas about counseling patients.From my twelve years in the electrical-mechanical industry, I became proficient with changing technology, documenting performance logs and the most effective ways to connect with other departments. Add two years of intensive wind turbine work, 7-day workweeks on Siemens wind turbines and that makes me very marketable. Networking has become my forte. I'm making social connections each week.
