Chris Cull Email and Phone Number
I’m a visionary and values-based leader, change agent, and trusted advisor bringing a decade of experience supporting the missions behind some of Canada’s most iconic social impact and healthcare organizations, with a focus on mental health and addictions. A motivational speaker, filmmaker, and recovering opioid user, I found healing and renewal through cycling, inspiring me to complete 2 cross-Canada rides while filming a documentary about the impact of the country-wide opioid crisis. I’ve been privileged to build a professional career, committed to offering hope to those struggling with mental health and addiction challenges, and to remaining an example of the resilience of the human spirit.I’ve cultivated strategic partnerships across the Canadian mental health and addictions landscape, uniting with federal, provincial, and municipal agencies to advocate for, and champion transformational change. I leveraged both lived experience and the inspiring stories of fellow Canadians launch “Inspire by Example”, a project that supports prevention and treatment of substance misuse, self-harm, and other mental health disorders. I’ve served on various boards and committees and have been invited to deliver dozens of motivational and keynote speeches across national/international academic, healthcare, not-for-profit, private/public sector, and professional bodies across Canada. Some of my key accomplishments include:● Nominated for the 2024 Premier's Awards in the Health Sciences field, as well as the CAMH Transforming Lives Award in 2016.● Appointed as Canadian representative to the 67th Session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs.● Created docuseries, “Surviving Addiction” with Season 2 currently in production.● Advised on and contributed to content for Harvard University’s Vice-Provost for Advances in Learning/Kennedy School Adaptive Leadership Course.● Represented CAMH as a face for their “No One Left Behind” campaign.● Interviewed with major digital, TV, and print media outlets including CTV, Global, CBC, the Toronto Star and more.● Member of the Constituency Council of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), ● Substance Use Disorder Provincial Advisory Table of the Ontario Health Mental Health and Addictions Centre of Excellence. ● Mental Health and Addictions Planning and Action Committee of Ontario Health East, ● Municipality of Durham Region’s Opioid Task Force. ● Policy Committee of the Canadian Society of Addiction Medicine (CSAM) ● Board of Directors of the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA)
