As the Under Secretary for Management, Chris Cummiskey was responsible for departmental management and operations for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. DHS is the third largest department in the Federal government, with 240,000 employees and an annual budget of approximately $60 Billion. Elected to four terms in the Arizona State Senate representing Central Phoenix. Mr. Cummiskey served in senate leadership as Senate Floor Leader, Assistant Minority Leader and Chair of the Senate Democratic Caucus during his tenure. Mr. Cummiskey was recognized as a leader in emerging technologies, economic development and education reform.After his departure in 2003, the Arizona Republic newspaper placed Mr. Cummiskey on its list of the most influential members to ever serve in the Arizona Legislature.

Among the youngest individuals ever elected to the Arizona House of Representatives, Mr. Cummiskey served two terms in the House, representing the citizens of Central Phoenix.

As the Director of Development for the state's largest children's non-profit organization, Mr. Cummiskey was responsible for corporate/community relations and fundraising. During his time at SWHD, he helped to consistently grow year over year individual and corporate giving. He also was responsible for media relations and strategic planning for the organization.

Mr. Cummiskey was selected as the first Director of Alumni Relations at his Alma Mater, Brophy College Prep.He was responsible for building giving and fundraising programs as a member of the school's development team.By the time of his departure, Alumni giving had reached an all time high for the Jesuit-run institution.
