My interest in IT started a number of years ago when I did a course in Practical Programming using Visual Basic and SQL. I found out that I had quite an aptitude for programming and topped the class of 35 with a distinction of 94%. Shortly afterwards I landed a job as a Junior Developer. However, my life journey took a turn in a different direction and I took an opportunity in a completely different field.I have recently re-kindled my passion for programming. Last year I completed a self study Full Stack Web Development Bootcamp. I also recently qualified (after a 6 hour aptitude / coding assessment) for a government funded scholarship for a Software Engineering Bootcamp through HyperionDev (valued at £5600). I have now completed over 80% of the Bootcamp and have received marks of 100% for all the tasks that have so far been submitted.My objective is to initially find employment as a Junior Developer and be given the opportunity to thrive within a company that recognise my potential and wants me to succeed. I am keen to continue learning and to work my way up from the bottom with a goal of becoming a Senior Developer within the next 5 years.
