Engineering is not just employment for me, it is my life. I thrive on problem solving and providing innovative solutions to design requirements. Roles throughout my career have allowed me to explore a variety of engineering sectors, from Aircraft Carrier Alliance to Rolls-Royce to EDF to Babcock, where I have excelled and adapted to each position. I am able to follow guidance and instruction, but equally I can work autonomously and lead small design teams.After three successful years in Motorsport as a designer and engine developer, I was able to consolidate my university based knowledge and take my career onto the next level. During my time at Prodrive I was one of three key members to completely design a Prototype Class engine for Le Mans within an eight month timescale.Throughout my career as an engineer I have always jumped into the deep end, taking any opportunity to learn a new skill, a new piece of software or a new technique, such as the purchase of a CNC machine to enable my bicycle project. This allowed me to develop manufacturing techniques to develop prototype composite frames without the need for expensive moulds.
