Chris has been involved in compiling air emission estimates for over 20 years, and has extensive experience in inventory planning, compilation, development, mapping, QA/QC procedures, review and training. He is currently the Chair of the International Taskforce on Emission Inventories and Projections, and a member of the UK’s Air Quality Expert Group.Chris has extensive policy support experience, working at Local, Regional, National and International scales. He has represented the UK Government on numerous occasions in the international arena. As well as his expertise in emission inventories Chris also has sound grounding in a wide range of environmental fields including: ambient measurement, atmospheric and environmental physics and chemistry, impact assessments and several research fields. He contributes to projects in both technical and management roles.Prior to setting up Aether, Chris was the Programme Director for the UK emissions inventory (NAEI/GHGI) at AEA Energy and Environment, being responsible for a technical team of some 20 people and a portfolio of approximately £2M per annum. He won several company awards for customer satisfaction and project management.
