With electrical services design and project management responsibilities for the replacement electrical distribution system; Including detailed site surveys and inspections (requiring security clearance, Sellafield SQEP training and knowledge of complicated site access procedures), the production of build to print cable routing drawings including detailed sections and elevations, cable schedules and cable cards, writing outline installation method statements and specifications as well as the production of detailed calculations. Projects included taking a new Academy/School through concept (ITT stage) up to and including detailed design novated to the contractor. The Academy project with Sheppard Robson Architects was complex due to its size, location and use; offering facilities to students aged 0-19 years and also incorporating special needs facilities all under one roof. I was also responsible for several other Academy designs up to contractor’s proposal stage.I was responsible for many other projects most of which were client and/or contractor facing, and ranged from site surveys and refurbishments to new build, across a variety of building types and markets including the redevelopment of shopping centres and market halls, refurbishment of listed building office accommodation, a rolling program of site surveys for local branches and main offices for a major high street bank, and a full design for a GP Medical Centre.I was also the lead electrical engineer on several high rise residential developments; the largest of which consisted of the construction of 316 apartments within two blocks, located in the city centre of Sheffield.
