20 year Supervisory experience across a diverse manufacturing back ground from Cosmetics through to Food Packaging, Wire Manufacturing and currently Managing a injection Moulding shop with reports of 7 Supervisors, 9 Setters and 74 direct Operators running a 3 shift system.1992-2000Having worked for Procter and Gamble within their Health and Beauty Care sector I learned the majority of the Lean Methodology from 5s to SMED along with taking out the 7 wastes associated with manufacturing. Also was trained in food grade hygiene standards of 20 years ago which were world class at that time and included some micro biology training with regards to product contamination and batch integrity. Along side this I was heavily involved in their 3Phase High Performance Team Development aimed towards self sufficient Team work.2000- 2004I then was made redundant and joined LINPAC plastics as an Operator for several weeks and promoted to another company site as a Multi Skilled Operator completing tool changes which I reduced from start of around 2 hours down to 30 minutes. I also stood in for Team Leaders in their absence and conducted some routine preventative maintenance tasks which were scheduled.2004-2012I moved to Bridon Wire as a Wire drawer and within 20 weeks passed out as a Wire drawer and successfully applied for a Team Leader role. I spent the next 7 and a half years running 1 of the 3 shifts which produced around 950 tonnes of wire per week which is used to make ropes for a variety of applications within the Oil and Gas industry along with and other things.2012- Current dateI moved from Bridon to chase promotion and learning which I have achieved in my roles since. I spent 9 months as Continuous Improvement Engineer identifying issues and wastes while chasing numerous cost savings and efficiency improvements to the way work was being carried out. I was asked to take on the challenge of running Injection Moulding and so far have made huge improvements.
