My passion for growing a small business, especially a craft beverage brand, is in the blood. Both my parents were small business owners which gave me a front row seat to both the highs and lows associated with this path. I also spent 23 years growing Dunn Brothers Coffee Franchising as a co-founder and co-CEO which speaks to my passion for craft beverages. My entrepreneurial journey has also taught me many great lessons. The most important being to surround myself with equally passionate partners that possess talents different and complementary to my own. Having the opportunity to start and grow a brand like Jinx Tea with Jennifer and Sam epitomizes this standard. Jinx Tea is a true pioneer within the “ready-to-drink” tea category. Thanks to our partnership with Verdant Tea, we are the only RTD tea beverage to use the highest quality, hand harvested teas sourced from small scale family farms and cooperatives in China. By combining these remarkable teas with sophisticated bold flavors from fruit, aromatics, and delicate florals, we have created truly unique and refreshing cold brewed iced tea beverages that are establishing a new standard for what craft iced tea can be.As the company’s Integrator, my main job is to ensure we are on track to hit our goals and stay on solid financial footing as we navigate the often rough waters associated with growing a small brand. Having done this previously, I feel fortunate to get a second opportunity to repeat this feat (although there are certainly days when I recognize the “craziness” of stepping back into this arena).What gets me out of bed in the morning: I love to get up very early and meditate. This has proven to be a beautiful way to start my day and remind me of what to be grateful for.
