3rd class Power Engineer at Orano’s McClean Lake Uranium mill working on the control room panel in both our Utilities sector and CX-Ammonia Sulphate plant. In our CX plant, I am responsible for the safe and efficient extraction of Ammonia Sulphate from process solution, this is obtained by operating a train of falling film evaporators that are under vacuum along with a series of Ion exchange columns so our process water can be safely discharged back to the environment. In our Utilities plant I operate two high pressure boilers, an Oxygen Plant, a range of high pressure air compressors, conduct water tests, and regular preventative maintenance checks.
