I am a graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a BS in Software Engineering and a AS in Computer Programming. For an internship I created an app for JWU, and it included bluetooth beacons and other high end aspects. My portfolio has that app along with other programs I've written in C++ and Java. I am primarily looking for a Java development job or and IOS development job, but I will be happy with any software job opportunities. Since graduation I have sent time developing a Java to SQL portfolio piece. In this portfolio project I used the AdventureWorks database that I downloaded over the Internet and used SQL Server 2014 to manipulate it. This database had a lot of tables and different entities among the tables. The difficult partsof this project was finding the similarity between tables. Finding the right keys to join the tables to project the information that I wanted. The java aspect of the project however was rather simple. I used the Netbeans IDE to help me create the JFrames easier, I used the SQL framework that java has and used the ‘Connection’, ‘Statement’, ‘ResultSet’ and ‘PreparedStatement’ add on’s to perform all of the frames. Whenever I ran into problems either coding or SQL writing I would try to problem solve with everything in my knowledge but if that didn’t seem to work, I searched the web mostly using StackOverflow for quick results. All in all this was fun project that took about 2 weeks to finish, at the beginning the only difficult part was connection to the database itself using SQL Server Management studio. Once I connected the to the database, the coding was the easier half.
