Now working for Teenage Cancer Trust as Deputy DIrector of Services. One week in and very excited to be part of such a great organisation. I have previously worked for SafeLives for support of the domestic abuse agenda and was the National Programme Manager for the Young Peoples Programme. Prior to this I worked for the NHS and Local Authority. I am a registered nurse, specialist public health practitioner and have a BA Hons in community health and social care studies. I worked for a number of years as a school nurse in Swindon and then spent some time with Oxfordshire County Council working on the teenage pregnancy and sexual health agenda. My previous role was with NHS South of England where I worked for four years as the Associate Director for children young people and maternity . My portfolio included, safeguarding, immunisations, looked after children, children and young people commissioning and the Healthy Child Programme. Children and young people’s health lives and aspirations are my most abiding passion, and I will always seek to improve quality and delivery of services for all children young people and their families.
