I joined the family business to help my Dad (Grahame Evans) out as he had grown his business from a man and van into a very small distribution business with then 4 vehicles on the road. It was a easy decesion then as it was something i wanted to get stuck into. When i joined we had a very small section of warehouse of approx 3000 sq ft with 1 loading dock and no toilet and no office. At the time we covered only parts of the UK until i started pushing for more work and more areas. Paperwork started to get more and more so we decided to get a garden shed and put a desk inside so we can organise loads and invoice from. This rapidly became too small and decided to take a gamble and obtain a proper warehouse of 21500 sq ft with full facitices, it was such a proud moment for us as with a larger warehouse we was able to get more vehicles and cover more of the UK. We took a big growth during our time here which forced us to move again. We now occupy a full distribution warehouse of 101,000 sq ft and 12 loading bays and now cover the whole of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales from our fleet of 28 Vehicles and Trailers running daily. I have obtained my Full Transport Manager CPC qualification and now gone into a Partnership with Grahame (My Father). We now distribute furniture for over 60 manufactures and take in containers from all over which we destuff and organise and distribution onwards.

While at Keltruck i gained more experience within the truck industry, i changed the service office processes around and found alot of ways of gaining more work out of each job. I rapidly grew into the business building some very good relationships with staff and customers. Again this was a role i made a name for myself within Keltruck and hit all targets set out for not only mine but also the depots

Joining HRVS, I was a young 16 year old without much direction in life other than trucks. Everything from Artics to Vans - commercial transport has always been a passion as this was passed down from my Dad. I joined HRVS as a Service Receptionist which included planning inspections, MOTs and tachograph calibrations, creating Job Cards for each vehicle that needed work and receiving/dealing with all incoming enquiries as well as effectively handling nationwide breakdowns.Through hard work and dedication I started to forge great relationships with my customers and as a result, at the age of 19, I was offered the position of Depot Manager at Newark. I appreciated the opportunity and was excited to overcome the challenges of my new role.I nurtured the depot through many beneficial changes and saw success when we reached the top 3 MAN dealerships in the country. We won many KPI's and dealership awards within the HRVS group. During this time, I successfully managed 16 staff including Apprentices, Office Administrators and Master Technicians. HRVS also encouraged and allowed me to attend college to complete various courses related to my role. These included Keyskills levels 2/3 and a variety of Customer Service focused courses. All of which were passed with flying colours.
