Supervise a staff of eight wastewater operators in a 120MGD wastewater treatment plant.

At the present time, CCWSA maintains and operates two wastewater facilities. The Rose Creek Facility is located off Wyngate Parkway in southern Cherokee County. It became operational in 1987. The plant is permitted to discharge flows of up to six million gallons per day of treated waters to Allatoona Lake. Rose Creek incorporates Sequencing Batch Reactor technology to meet wastewater discharges at a quality higher than the permit limitations. These limitations are assigned under the National Pollutants Discharge Elimanation System Permit issued by the State of Georgia Environmental Protection Division. The Fitgerald Creek Wastewater Facility is located off West Wiley Bridge Road in southeastern Cherokee County. This facility became operational in 1988. An upgrade to the facility was completed in the summer of 2008. CCWSA is permitted to discharge flows of up to five million gallons per day of treated waters to LIttle River from this facility.• Supervised staff and oversaw operations in both wastewater treatment facilities • Optimized plant operations to achieve high effluent quality well below permit limits while lowering required budget by over 30% in two years• Assisted in the negotiation of prices with vendors which resulted in over 40% in savings• Supervised a staff of nine operators as well as assisted with supervision of maintenance staff• Directed lab testing related to the wastewater industry, and used the results of those test to determine the best operation strategy• Assisted in building a maintenance scheduling database which is used to schedule all preventative and corrective maintenance, and upkeep parts and material inventory
