Chris provides well grounded engineering advice, from early-stage feasibility work right through to full project completion. Chris is a chartered engineer with over 46 years’ experience, delivering expansive projects, whilst driving strategic transformation to realise our clients commercial and aspirational ambitions, with an emphasis on Energy and Net Zero.His wide range of experience encompasses engineering in the Built Environment across a variety of sectors including battery manufacturing, automotive, residential, commercial, retail, industrial and education. Chris's particular expertise is often used during the initial feasibility stages of a project, including implementing Low Energy Solutions, which helps minimise energy use by the implementation of passive techniques for buildings.Since joining Arcadis Chris has led the “Benchmarking and Lessons Learnt” initiative for the Industrial and Gigafactory sectors, collating and extracting global knowledge to help clients ensure they have the best-in-class solutions and improve on current benchmarks.Chris also leads the Net Zero support stream within Industrial and Manufacturing, this includes the benchmarking of many clients and their ESG strategies. This helps unravel the maze of Energy scenarios and ensures clients aspirations from a sustainability viewpoint are met.His knowledge of the built environment can regularly be found in industry publications on topics including energy solutions for multi-use sites to electric vehicle implementation and impact on the built environment. He is often a speaker at Gigafactory conferences including the Faraday Institutions Conference, discussing topics including Utility demands in Gigafactory's to suitable strategies to meet our Net Zero targets.
