CurrentThe Wildlife Management Directorate within the Canadian Wildlife Service (CWS) supports the implementation of Canada's Species at Risk Act and Migratory Birds Convention Act, playing an important, science-based, policy and regulatory role in furtherance of important conservation objectives. The CWS is working to protect and recover species at risk, monitor and maintain migratory bird populations, advance wildlife health, protect lands and waters, and promote a culture of national collaboration with Canada's Provinces, Territories and Indigenous peoples to secure conservation and biodiversity outcomes for Canadians.
