I’m an experienced software manager with extensive experience leading global cross-functional teams, directing change management efforts, and increasing operational value through technology development and implementation. I currently serve as a Platform Director for ALIZENT, a division of Air Liquide. I began my journey with Air Liquide over 10 years ago as an Operations Engineer at the Operations Control Center, and I have continued to take on progressive responsibility and leadership within the company. In my present role, I lead a global team of 17, with team members based in Houston, Montreal, Paris, and Singapore. Through this role, I’ve developed key skills in networking, communication, and aligning a team towards a common goal. These skills have allowed me and my team to successfully enable cost savings for the company through key software projects completed in 2021: the Americas Data Historian and Smart & Innovative Operations ecosystem projects ($20M+ enabled collectively). I am well-versed in a variety of technological systems and technical skills, including certifications as a SCRUMMaster and as an AWS Cloud Practitioner. I follow each project through the entire software development lifecycle, including post-mortem analysis to discuss how to improve future project management efforts. I enjoy collaborating with my team and coaching junior managers to bring their teams up to speed in our software development efforts and strategies. Through my past roles, I’ve gained experience leading and driving process improvements and developing frameworks for data-driven decision making. For example, as the Manager of the Operations Control Center at Air Liquide, my team was able to increase the company’s operating income by $10M by implementing a successfully ancillary ERCOT energy strategy that allowed operational equipment to be shut down, if required, for the integrity of the electric power grid. I take pride in my work and the impact that I’ve made in my past positions. As a team leader, one accomplishment I am particularly proud of is leading my team at the Operations Control Center through preparation for Hurricane Harvey. My team worked tirelessly for ten days in a row after this disaster to ensure operational continuity, and I was able to lead and motivate them through this exhausting time.
