About Chris Fenner

Protecting agriculture as a way of life and educating the non-farm public about modern agricultural practices. I served as a Regional Manager for 8 years working with six counties in Southeast Indiana and served as the Leadership Development and Young Farmer Coordinator for 8 years. I was promoted in 2011 to Field Services Director where I managed our 15 Regional Managers across Indiana. I oversaw all of our Regional Manager activity, young farmer contests, philanthropic activities, leadership development activitities and worked directly with my staff, coaching them to be the best employees in the company. Finally in 2016, I was promoted again to my current position with Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc., Operations and Event Manager. I work with fellow staff members and plan all events including three statewide conferences, a delegate session and Indiana's participation in our national conference. I serve as the chairman for our State Convention, the organization's annual meeting and our largest meeting of the year. I also assist with the managment of our young farmer program, a leadership development program for members age 18-35. This program builds the leadership capacity of our younger members and sets them up to assume the leadership roles in our organization in the future through leadership conferences, contests, public speaking events, and advisory committees.
