I am responsible for making medical calls in a first responder role and providing Basic and Advanced Life support to the citizens of Wichita. I am responsible for the supervision and training of the firefighters assigned to my station. I am also trained in Fire Suppression, Pump Operations, Vehicle Extrication, Haz-Mat, and Search and Rescue.

I am responsible for the coordination and supervision of certified athletic trainers covering several local high schools. I am responsible for maintaining quality assurance, writing new policies, and discipline actions of problems that may arise. I coordinate with the orthopaedic surgeons, office managers, hospital administration, and school administration to maintain a cohesive working relationship between all parties.

My responsibilities were to do all lab draws, perform twelve lead EKG's, perform CPR on all cardiac arrest victims, initially assist nurses with all walk in Trauma alert patients which included setting up IV's, placing patients on monitors and removal of clothing while make sure to preserve all evidence. Transport patients to the floors and transfer to their hospital room bed. Work with Occupational Health Services and perform both federal and local drug screen's and breathalyzers screens.

I had a variety of responsibilities, I would do the initial evaluation and history of the patients and then implement the therapy programs set by the physician. I was also cross trained as an X-ray tech, and a Cast tech. I directed a research project
