On leaving school at 16 I joined the Bristish Army and spent 25 years serving Queen and Country.On leaving the forces I worked for a labour agency within Devonport Dockyard carry out everyday site duties.I attended a site managers 5 day course were upon I was offered a job working for Pearce group as a labourer/ganger on a temporary contract working at Primark Exeter store fit out.Having impressed Pearce with my work my contract was extended and I went with the same site team to Primark Poole.Whilst at Poole I was offered a full time contract and promoted to Assistant site manager.I worked for Pearce/Isg for 10 years working my way up the ladder to Construction Manager.Whilst at Isg i worked on various projects within the retail business ranging from £1/2 to £16mSpecialties: CSCS black card First aidSMSTsNetsScaffold inspectionAsbestos awarenessIn recent weeks I have decided to leave main contracting and moved to Kershaw Roofing.I will be responsible for roofing and cladding a school on the IOW.Also I have been given the task of expanding the company and opening an office in Plymouth.This office will cover the SW region.
