Provide advice to students and respond independently to resolve student wellbeing issues within role limitations.Advise and/or brief other relevant staff on specific aspects relating to student wellbeing.Act as first responder in the event of a student reporting a serious welfare incident, such as sexual violence, a hate crime and/or risk of radicalisation.To receive referrals from colleagues in relation to students with non-complex wellbeing and welfare issues, advise and provide regular updates. Where appropriate, to work alongside or with the close support of Residential Wellbeing Manager on medium complex/moderate risk student welfare cases.To assess, seek advice on and escalate student cases involving complex and/or high-risk wellbeing and welfare issues to Residential Wellbeing Managers.Design, deliver and coordinate team-based projects such as induction events during Student Welcome Week and delivery of relevant workshops.Co-ordinate wellbeing support at key pressure points during the year, such as exam time and develop student’s skills to aid their own wellbeing.Maintain accurate and confidential notes relating to individual student caseworkCollate, organise and edit student wellbeing related material for inclusion in documents and reports.To monitor student wellbeing data liaising with academic and professional services staff to proactively identify students who may be at risk of disengaging with and/or failing in their studies.Review identified problems with systems and/or procedures within work area and develop solutions to wellbeing related issues that extend across a number of residences/schools/faculties.Identify long-term solutions to enhance inclusive community building activities within schools as agreed across the Student Wellbeing Service.
