• Co-ordinate and manage all aspects of development and construction across the following disciplines: - Earthworks from bulk land clearing to managing multiple cut to fill operations across a range of various foundation treatments to both Queensland Department of Main Roads (QDMR) and Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) specifications;- Pavement construction including both rigid and flexible pavements such as granular pavements, spray seal, asphalt, plain and reinforced concrete pavements to both QDMR & RMS Specifications, including Supplementary, Heavy Duty Specifications & Australian Standards;- Building management with multiple subcontractors to Australian Standard and relevant Building Codes. Ensuring design guidelines, energy efficiency, water and waste water management, fire safety and lighting have all been achieved as per design. - Concrete bridge construction including pilling, substructure, superstructure, and erection and landing of Super T girders and beam planks to RMS Specifications and Australian Standards;- Various drainage structures, including box culverts, pipe culverts, intra pavement pipe drainage, kerb & channel, median islands, hand placed structures and subsoil drainage to the relevant specifications;• Lead and develop fellow engineers, both senior and junior, through challenge, guidance, and support to produce an effective and productive team that aligns with the Leighton Essentials.Key Projects: • Devils Pulpit Upgrade for John Holland Group, Devils Pulpit, NSW. • Manage all aspects of onsite construction surrounding asphalt, spray seal and other bituminous pavement activities often across multiple projects simultaneously;• Contribute in detail to tender pricing, estimation and resource allocation from conception through to completion;• Negotiate, develop and implement contract conditions, scope and rates for major woks as well as sub-contracts;• Manage multiple sub-contractor co-ordination, programs, progress claims and costs across multiple projects;• Prepare monthly progress claims, tax invoices, variations and manage payment disputes, whilst tracking cost vs. budget; • Undertake consultancy with private and state clients to achieve best for project outcomes;• Develop and implement various bituminous design changes and comprehensive spray seal designs to achieve time and cost savings for use on QDMR and State projects;• Undertake various audits and monitoring, including, environmental, quality, site specific checklists, traffic management, workplace health and safety and occupational health and safety duties; and• Review, approve and ensure the implementation of all relevant Quality Assurance documents.Key Projects:• Gateway Upgrade Project, Gateway Bridge to Mt Gravatt Road, Brisbane, QLD. 2008• Boundary Road Duplication, Victoria point, Brisbane, QLD. 2007• Flinders Highway Upgrade, Charters Towers, QLD. 2007 • South East Busway Resurfacing, Greenslopes to Griffith University, Brisbane, QLD. 2006• Waterford-Tamborine Road Upgrade.
