Most recently, I was promoted to provide financial oversight for Mosaic’s North America Phosphate Segment with $4B revenue and 3,000 employees. During my tenure, I systematically reinvented how Mosaic did business to capture synergies and cost reductions in a price-sensitive, commodity setting. Additionally, I developed and led organizational transformations to increase productivity, improve cashflow, and enhance shareholder value. During this time, I oversaw FPA, consolidation, manufacturing operations, and JVs for N.A. Phosphate, 1 of Mosaic’s 3 segments. Additionally, I led the development & analysis of the segment’s strategic plan, which was later presented to the board, c-suite, and investors. Also notable, I built trust-based relationships with stakeholder with diverse needs and goals to rally the organization around a common vision. As leader of the segment, I also developed and executed the Finance Team's strategy to recruit, develop, and promote rising stars within the company. In 2012, I was promoted to lead financial operations for Mosaic’s Phosphate manufacturing with over +$10B in assets. In this role, I oversaw financial performance for 5 manufacturing facilities and 5 mining sites in the US in addition to managing international joint ventures. Additionally, I led transformative initiatives to optimize organizational structure, uncover/realize synergies, reduce costs, and mitigate risk. During this time, I built and managed relationships with JV partners, navigating cultural barriers and complex, international regulatory settings. Also notable, I oversaw capital portfolio management, managed budgeting/forecasting, and led M&A efforts from identification to integration. Equally important, I directed 5-year strategic planning and led continuous improvement initiatives to support revenue, cost, and profitability goals. KEY RESULTS== Led M&A due diligence for a $1.2B acquisition, later integrating a 25,000-acre mine and manufacturing plant into operations. == Delivered strong financial results by utilizing manufacturing expertise and financial acumen to improve the unit’s bottom line. == Directed financial support for $8B phosphate JV with Saudi Arabia, providing guidance during facility construction and startup. == Served as board member for a key mining JV to propel smooth operations and resolve unforeseen risks and issues.

In 2004, I was selected to provide financial oversight for the Mining Operation group after the formation of Mosaic. In this role, I led key operational improvement projects focused on realizing post-merger synergy, cost, and productivity objectives. Upon taking the helm, I propelled organizational transformations to improve ROIC and optimize spend on support groups, MRO, and other cost centers.As a result, I led the post-merger reorganization of finance, payroll, and AP teams and spearheaded the design/roll out of Mosaic’s SAP system. During this time, I managed budgeting, reporting, and operational performance analysis for 4 phosphate mining operations and 1 mine in Peru. Also notable, I evaluated capital project investment opportunities and provided recommendations to the leadership team around feasibility.KEY RESULTS== Enhanced management of the $300-400M annual capital portfolio by leading the SAP CapEx management/reporting project.== Negotiated economic incentive agreements and other tax amendments by partnering with state and county tax authorities. == Served as key contributor to process enhancement initiatives and led resource realignment after closure of 3 mining locations. == Managed relations with key JV partners (Vale & Mitsui) in Latin America as financial committee rep and later board member.

Later, I served on the team that performed finance operations due diligence during the merger of Cargill Crop Nutrition & IMC Global to form Mosaic (combined assets of $5.4B and $4.1B in revenues). Additionally, I managed day-to-day financial operations, developed budgets, produced reports, and oversaw plant inventory movement.Additionally, I led M&A due diligence for a $100M fertilizer manufacturing facility, later integrating systems/processes/people into operations. Also notable, I directed the Kronos Payroll system implementation and co-led the internal controls and governance framework roll out within the business unit.
