Using Autodesk Inventor CAD software, I designed rack-mounted frames and modular switcher consoles for the global broadcasting industry. My work involved the complete design process, beginning with PCB mechanical specifications, and following with intricate PCB mounting hardware, heat sinks, molded card guides and rack mount enclosures. To ensure optical connectivity in a blind-mate condition, I developed a patent pending latching system. I worked with outside vendors (sheet metal, machining and moulding) and performed other tasks including cost reductions, tolerance and thermal analysis, ways to increase manufacturing efficiency, and ways to improve manufacturing techniques and user experience. (After working as a contractor in 2009, I became a full-time employee in 2010). Show less

I used Pro Manufacture to machine highly finished and accurate models for design confirmation and marketing purposes. Assisting other groups within the Research and Development sector, I designed 3-D models using advanced surfacing techniques and developed the ability to rapid prototype complex parts on a 3-axis CNC milling machine.
