While operating the real estate and business brokerage offices he was also the Area Managing Broker for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Retaining the contract for the Federal Government, this encompassed the management of over 1500 Foreclosed properties at any given time in their inventory. Pricing of the properties, asset management for the local HUD office, and eventually assistance in the sale and liquidation of the properties. During this time Mr. Granitz, as a realtor, set a personal record of 144 closed sales and an office record of 500 closed transactions in a single year.Relocated to South Florida in 1992, he founded a family run company in the Wholesale Distribution Business for import and export throughout South Florida and South America. Sales grew from a modest $660,000 to over $4,600,000 in a short period. Sold company in 2001 to re-enter mortgage banking in addition to real estate acquisitions.Managed and operated a Mortgage Banking Firm with offices in Illinois and South Florida. Added a highly profitable title insurance division in 2003. Bought out partners in 2004 retaining the Florida operation. Increased revenues by 39% in less than 24 months. Founded a separate marketing division and a community rewards program, assisting local non-for-profits with donations.Repeated speaker at the Palm Beach County Housing Show consulting and assisting homeowners in acquiring their first home. Currently sits on the Board of Directors for GOutdoor Media based in South Florida.
