I am currently managing the upgrade of all CCTV cameras and related technical infrastructure across The University of Manchester, Fallowfield Campus. In addition to replacing all existing CCTV cameras and installing additional devices around campus, the project involves the full refurb of an existing building on the Estate, creating a new Security Lodge with CCTV Control Room for UoM Security Staff. A very technical project with a heavy focus on integrating the CCTV hardware into a large and complex network.

I was selected for the programme after demonstrating my ability during two days of vigorous boot camp style assessments. I was one of ten selected from hundreds of applicants. The unique scheme awarded scholarships to ten top graduates in Manchester. The pioneering degree course teaches student’s modern marketing and business techniques with key emphasis placed on digital methods. Whilst reading for the MSc I undertook four full time vocational placements, completing an assessed consultancy report for each, meeting organisational requirements and satisfying core academic modules including:• Strategy and planning• Stakeholders in business• Management processes• People and organisations

Created and executed a multi-channel promotions campaign for Oxjam Manchester including; development and branding of a website and social media outlets, press release writing and distribution, radio promotions, brand affiliations and poster and flyer campaigns.Recruited a designer and programmer to work alongside me, free of charge, to conceptualise, create and produce all digital and print marketing materials.Networked with bar and club owners to secure venues for the fundraising events and the one day music festival.Managed a multi-venue event with a team of 4. Duties included liaising with artists and venues, supervising ticket sales and co-coordinating social media activity.Raised in excess £10,000 for Oxfam.

I worked alongside the MD to open a brand new satellite office in London. I was charged with the day-to-day running of the office while the MD generated new business leads.Duties included:• Press release writing, distribution, monitoring and evaluating• Managing client accounts including Wilkinson Stores, Centre for Assessment, Dulux Decorator Centres, Aimia Foods and Hit Entertainment.I also worked closely with Tangerine's Event Manager in Manchester; sourcing venues, costing events, liaising with clients and overseeing operations of the event delivery.

I was selected by the board of the Year In Industry (YINI) programme after a demanding selection process to complete a vocational placement in the engineering industry. After acceptance to the programme I attended company interviews and secured employment at Cundall.I worked alongside a designer creating technical drawings (AutoCAD training) and liaised with engineers and site managers to write formal structural engineering reports, letters and e-mails to clients and contractors.I gained a vast amount of on site experience overseeing the smooth running of various multi million pound projects alongside the team manager.
