Senior leader at the University of St. Thomas responsible for developing and maintaining the institution’s enterprise information security and risk management vision, strategy, and services. Responsibilities also include the leadership of ITS's financial planning, forecasting, benchmarking, and metrics tracking to help ensure that the proper resources are available to support the division’s goals and objectives.

Lead teams that provide IT operations, Network & Telecommunications, IT Security, ERP support, Project Management, Business Intelligence Support, and Web Services that included 43 professional staff plus student employees.

Leading central IT division for the university including operations, applications, support, and finance, with team of 89 professional staff plus student employees. Developed “One University, One IRT” model to promote increased coordination and cooperation between internal IT units. Chair the University Technology Advisory Committee which serves as IT governance group to help inform, prioritize, and support the work of IRT. Leading task force to review, plan, and implement a new classroom technology plan that includes selecting the technology of the next generation of classrooms and creating a plan to sustain them into the future. Led evaluation for an enterprise CRM solution for recruiting and admissions that will be used to increase application and improve the efficiency in processing them.

Organized initial IT security team for UST consisting of two professional staff. Consolidated IT security services. Updated and refined university site security policy. Implemented scheduled internal audits of servers and ERP access security process. Initiated campus effort for PCI-DSS compliance.

Led teams responsible for help desk, 2nd tier desktop, and 3rd tier desktop support including 25 professional staff plus student employees. Implemented internal customer services feedback survey process, and teams received 98% positive feedback. Implemented remote desktop and patch management solution. Helped create and refine annual computer replacement process including communications, planning, rollout, and data transfer processes for 1,000+ PC’s each year.

Managed the university help desk, and 2nd tier technical support team. Helped lead reorganization to develop new support model using data and client feedback that emphasized efficiency, customer service, and developing rewarding jobs for Client Services staff.

Provided consultative 3rd tier support for Office applications, online learning tools, and helped departments gain efficiency using technology. Supported initial uses of online learning technologies for the university, including WebCT and WebBoard courses. Provided one on one and group training for online learning tools.

Supported faculty and staff in the College of Business, English Department, School of Education. Provided technical support for 200+ computers, including public labs. Managed a team of student employees who worked in the labs.

Provided 1st and 2nd tier technical support for Westlaw. Trained new staff.
