As Technical Lead my primary function was the day to day management of the team responsible for the design, development, documentation, testing, installation and support for the CrossBow product for RuggedSolutions, the former Bow Networks group within RuggedCom.

From my early years as a junior developer to my time as the Manager of Software Development prior to Bow’s acquisition by RuggedCom, I worked on a variety of products and systems and developed experience in many areas. I was primarily focused on communications with end devices such as RTUs and substation IEDs, using both network and serial communications and both binary and text based protocols.My primary accomplishments include being the original developer and later team lead for the CrossBow product, a client/server Secure Access Management solution for windows designed to provide NERC CIP compliant remote access to substation end devices, and the primary original developer for the Protocol Router component of the eLAN product under Linux. Both of these products make extensive use of SSL/TLS security protocols.
