Formerly a professional hind-sighter (see below), I'm now working in Foresight for the Government of Canada. You might be surprised at how well the skills transfer. Fifteen year's full time experience teaching in higher education: European History 1500BC to 20th Century, with special interests in classical antiquity, modern Britain, the British Empire (especially India), the First World War, and comparative imperialism. Research specializations in Classical Reception, the culture of imperialism in Britain, and the cultural impact of the First World War. I'm particularly interested in Digital Humanities as teaching, research, and sharing tools and am certified in on-line instruction by Quality Matters. For fun I still write a little history and some historical fiction with a speculative twist.
