I am the Founding President and CEO of Red Collar Pet Foods. Red Collar is a former division of Mars Petcare. Red Collar is proud to be a top employer in the city of Franklin, TN, and in several communities across the United States. Over 700 associates are proud to work at Red Collar. Red Collar is North America's premiere producer of private label and contract label pet food. In my role as Founding President and CEO, I led the team to carve out and build one of the largest pet food producers in the world, making some of the best selling brands in the U.S today, in under 3 years, delivering explosive growth and transforming a division of large multi-national into a stand alone successful enterprise. I also led the team through the pandemic crisis and grew the business despite the unprecedented leadership and operational challenges. I am also the Treasurer of the Refuge Center Board, former president of the Pet Food Institute Board and am involved in our local community in and around the Nashville area of Tennessee. I am also Managing Partner and Founder of Borealis Partners, LLC, a business accelerator firm specializing in building and growing our partners' businesses in the consumer goods, services and B2B space. Concurrently, I led the carve out and divestiture of the Exclusive Brands Division, that has since been sold as Red Collar Pet Foods to private equity. Mars Canada is a subsidiary of Mars, Incorporated, a private family-owned business known for some of the Canada’s best-loved brands, including M&M’S®, SNICKERS®, PEDIGREE®, ROYAL CANIN®, WHISKAS®, EXCEL® and UNCLE BEN’S®. More than 1200 associates across the country are united by the company’s Five Principles: Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency and Freedom. As the President for Mars Canada, I over-saw all aspects of the Canadian operations including Supply, Supply Chain, Inbound and Outbound logistics, Finance, Tax, Audit, Compliance, Payroll, AR/AP, IT, Tech Services, Legal and Human Resources. As the external face of Mars Canada, I also led public and corporate affairs, working with all levels of government on such pivotal initiatives as COOL legislation and the MCUSA trade deal through independent and industry lobby efforts. In my role as General Manager of Mars Petcare Canada, I was responsible for leading sales and operations of some of the best loved brands that include PEDIGREE®, WHISKAS®, NUTRO®, IAMS®, EUKANUBA®, GREENIES® and CESAR®. I am an advocate of responsible pet ownership and making a better world for pets. I also sit on the PEDIGREE® Foundation Board, Pet Food Institute Board in the position of Chairman and the FCPC Board of Governors.
