Working as a Java Analyst Developer.My main focus is the maintenance and development of bespoke Java applications developed for retail customers, primarily users of the Retail-J system. These applications interact mostly via SQL databases using JDBC connectors and SSIS packages using Visual Studio DTSX packages, and reside within the Tomcat web environment.I am also responsible for the ETL of data between multiple backend retail systems on a variety of data storage platforms, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Hybris, Retail-J, and SalesForce.

I worked at the Information Services department of the University.My time working there involved answering technical queries via email, phone and face-to-face at the help desk in the Library at the University. I was involved with supporting software, maintaining MFD printers/photocopiers, troubleshooting network issues, keeping the University FAQ pages up to date and managing user accounts.
