About Chris Hanvey

A career that has spanned the social and third sectors, local government and the Cabinet Office. In all three I have had significant policy and large operational roles. I have been the CEO of three major charities and have led staff groups from 6-5,500. Most of my professional career has been spent in health and social care, with specific expertise in children's and disability issues. Latterly, as Chief Executive of the RCPCH, the focus has been on children's health. I have led major governance reviews in two charities, guided organisations through major structural change and been responsible for new and stretching performance cultures, testing the effectiveness of operational work.
